This Canadian Cannabis Subsidiary Just Teamed Up With The Dallas Mavericks !

Canadian cannabis company Canopy Growth Corporations subsidiary BioSteel Sports has just landed a multi-year partnership with the Dallas Mavericks. This direct deal with the team is banking on a successful future with stars like Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porziņģis.

According to the Official Press Release :

  “The multi-year agreement includes prominent BioSteel branding at the American Airlines Center for all Mavericks’ home games, in addition to naming rights and signage at the team’s state-of-the-art BioSteel Practice Facility. Brand integration at these facilities will include a variety of elements such as digital and static signage, practice jersey sponsor, home and visiting team chairbacks, and the courtside LED end pad TV signage. The company’s logo and branding will also be featured on coolers, cups, squirt bottles and towels on the sidelines beginning in the 2021 season.“

Co-founded by Veteran NHL Player Mike Cammalleri; BioSteel is well known in the professional sports community having already inked deals with 28 NHL franchises, 14 NBA organizations, 18 MLB teams, and 30 of the top 50 golfers.

BioSteel Sports has signed endorsement deals with some of the world’s top athletes like Connor McDavid, Dez Bryant, Patrick Mahomes (Super Bowl MVP), Andrew Wiggins, Ezekiel Elliott, Deandre Hopkins,  and Tyler Seguin.

CBD Sports Beverages

The US side of the BioSteel empire is looking to be much more prominent than their Canadian operations thanks to the 2018 US Farm Bill which allowed the inclusion of CBD as an ingredient in the United States. The BioSteel brand is already carrying CBD sports beverages on their US website www.ShopCanopy.com and is claiming to be “leading a new era of Health and Wellness”

While there are many trials and studies that are showing support for CBD wellness products; its effectiveness and long term sports performance results are yet to be proven and accepted with the FDA.
