1) High Park
With the beautiful spring weather here, it is almost the perfect time to venture out with a friend for a morning hike and sesh through High Park. It is almost Cherry Blossoms season, giving ay for a temporary but spectacular experience of watching the cherry blossoms bloom for a short time.
High Park tends to get really packed on the weekend so we recommend heading there during the week or into the evening. If you can’t make it to High Park for the cherry blossoms, don’t sweat it! Our number 2 on the list will also have Cherry Blossoms for a short period
2) Trinity Bellwood’s
Toronto’s favourite evening and after-work sesh spot. The Trinity Bellwood’s area acts as a central meeting place between Dundas West, Parkdale, and Queen West. This provides a pretty central location to meet friends/family for an evening picnic packed together with your favourite dried flowers, pre-rolls, edibles, and cannabis-infused beverages. The cherry blossoms will also be blossoming here in the coming weeks. Expect a large number of people in the area peaking their heads out to watch this beautiful spectacle
3) Bloordale
Bloordale is home to some of the city's most talented creatives and a wide array of restaurants ready to satisfy anyone’s palette. You can enjoy some of the city’s best Italian, Jamaican, Middle Eastern, and Asian cuisine. There are tons of interesting street art around the Neighbourhood (including the mural by OneDayCreative that was commissioned outside of Shivaa’s Rose!)
4) Waterfront
Toronto’s waterfront is a beautiful area at the southern point of the city that has trails, gardens, shops, eats, and has a terrific view of the city and its various attractions. There are also a number of activities that stretch across the waterfront. You can even play basketball outside of the harbourfront Centre if you enjoy an elevated sports experience!
If you feel even more adventurous, we recommend taking one of the Tiki Taxis or the Toronto Harbour fairy to Toronto Island (number 5 on our list)
5) Toronto Island
Toronto Island is one of the most beautiful little-visited attractions in the Toronto area. The island has a number of restaurants, beaches, trails, and parkland. Visited by thousands of Torontonians and tourists daily, it provides a surreal escape from the city in minutes. You can take a tiki taxi for 10$ and venture across the water for a break from city life.
6) Trillium Park
Just a little bit west of the Toronto Waterfront and on the way to Ontario place, you will find a newer park and trail for Torontonians. Trillium Park is a beautiful area with a view of the Toronto Skyline, fire pits, and grassy areas for you to lounge with your best buds for a summertime sesh.
7) Toronto Zoo
Located about 35 minutes away from the city, the Toronto Zoo provides a great experience to get in touch with nature and our animalistic brothers and sisters. The Toronto Zoo is a pretty amazing place with animals from various parts of the world and replicated climates to optimize their living situations.
